Welcome to REFERENCE ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application "REFERENCE" (the "App").

We collect information to provide better services to all our users. The types of information we collect include:

• Personal Information: When you register, we collect email addresses via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In to manage your account and sync your collection.
• Camera & Photos: We request access to your device's camera and photo library to allow you to photograph your watches for your collection and for our AI Identification and Authenticity features.
• Location Data: We request access to your location to tag service history records with the location of the service center. This is optional.
• Usage Data: We collect anonymous data about how you use the app to improve performance.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain the Service (e.g., syncing your watch collection across devices).
• To facilitate Collection Sharing: If you choose to share your collection via a public link, the selected data will be viewable by anyone with access to that link.
• To improve our AI models: Images submitted are processed by Google Gemini AI for identification and authenticity assessment. We do not use your personal images to train public AI models, but they are processed by third-party cloud services for the immediate purpose of analysis.
• To show relevant advertisements: We use Google AdMob to display ads to free-tier users. AdMob may use your device identifiers to infer interests.

4. Third-Party Services

We may share data with the following third-party service providers to facilitate our Service:

• Google Firebase: For authentication, database, and cloud storage.
• Google Gemini AI: For processing images to identify watch details and assess authenticity markers.
• Google AdMob: For delivering advertising content.
• RevenueCat: For managing subscription billing and entitlements.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by navigating to "Settings > Delete Account" within the App, or by contacting us at support@thereference.app.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. However, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
